Magickal Places....and.....Fireplaces.......

This is Windsor Mills Bridge in Windsor, Ohio.
A very magickal place! My Honey took me on a lovely Sunday drive and we made our annual prilgrimage to one of my most favorite, sacred places.....We discovered this bridge two years ago on the Ashtabula County Covered Bridge Festival, (highly recommended, if you live in Northeast Ohio)....as soon as I saw it, it took my breath away, we then walked down the same path where this picture was taken, we followed the path and found a spot along the river that just sang with magickal, fairy energy.....I didn't want to leave, I just wanted to sit there and absorb it!
Going back today was such a treat, and the energy is still the same. We found a fire ring in that magickal spot which just solidified my feeling that there be fellow witches in that area. I thought I felt it the first time I was there and it was there again when we visited it today......so fellow witches of Windsor: Hail and Welcome Fellow Sisters!..and even though I didn't meet anyone, I felt your presence and I thank you for sharing your magickal spot with me.....
After soaking up the energy of this place, My Honey and I continued on into the back roads of Northeastern Ohio and had quite an adventure, we saw amazing vistas, old farmsteads that were breathtaking in their simplicity, found about 100 different houses that we would like to live in and of course, the trees in all their splendor.......after about 4 hours we headed for home and........

then My Honey lit a fire in our fireplace.

We sipped coffee with Cinnamon Bun Creamer and just drifted into the afternoon.......

Hope your Sunday was as blissful!

Blustery days......

Ah, the blustery days of autumn, cold, windy, damp, mercurial......a very apt description of my life right now.
Changes in my landscape, changes in my lifescape. This morning on my one of my favorite blogs, www.gaiantarot.com, Joanna posted her newly finished Ten of Wands card, renamed the Ten of Fire, an eerie, amazing depiction of a blazing forest fire. As soon as saw it I knew that it was a message from the Goddess in regards to my life. She wanted me to know that all that is happening in my life is purposeful, that She is using the circumstances of my life to burn away the chafe, so that new, lovely, wonderful things can grow and thrive. That I shouldn't despair at the winds of change that are buffeting me right now, they are blowing away the dust on my life and bringing new seeds, fresh air, clean space, necessary for fruitful new beginnings.
As the comforting realization came over me I smiled and began to relax into the "wind" that is swirling through my life. I'm going to relax and enjoy the ride, enjoy the view....I can't wait to see what is revealed! Hmmmm, maybe this is where the "myth" of flying witches came from, I'm on my "broomstick" of Faith and riding the winds of change.......grab your "broomstick' and join me!

Once Upon A Time,Three Years Ago..........

Once upon a time, three years ago, at 9:15am I met my destiny. A first date/first meeting for breakfast, a breakfast that I didn't taste; I was too busy smiling and trying to process the funny feeling I was feeling in my "gut." After breakfast we decided to continue this first date and go for a drive in the country. First stop was Squire's Castle (pictured left). He asked if we could get out and walk up to the castle, I said yes. As we went up the walkway he took my hand (for the first time) and muttered "this will do..." I looked at him quizzically. He just smiled. We walked around the castle and entered the room on the right (the round room). He looked around the room, looked at me, took my hand, pulled me into his arms and declared "I can't think of a better place to have our first kiss!" (From that moment he had me, any man who "got" me enough to know that a kiss in a castle would be just the way to snag my attention was worth checking out!) The kiss was everything every sappy romance novel could conjur up and much, much more. He literally curled my toes, and from his response I curled his.....three years later and we haven't stopped kissing! ;)
My Honey and I are absolute, living proof that fairy tales do come true, there can be happy day after days. I won't say happy endings because I don't EVER want this to end.......
Happy THREE years Honey.!!!
Thank you so much for coming into my life and making this Fairy Tale come true........
We are a testament to all of those who said that fairy tales are just silly little stories for little children.....we showed them, didn't we Honey!
